@ John Game grew up in England and studied botany at university there. He moved to California in 1978 and works as a molecular biologist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He pursues an active interest in plants and in botanical photography. He has a large collection of slides of Californian plants in the wild. Special interests include ferns, the family Liliaceae and mountain plants of northwest California. He is also doing research on Pacific Island ferns. John is active with the California Native Plant Society, and is happy to share photographs with others.
