  • Capay Valley Almond Festival – Sunday, February 2009.

    This is the Annual Capay Valley Almond Festival, which started in 1915. The festival takes place at various locations in the Capay Valley towns of Esparto, Guinda, and Rumsey. Visit the Capay Valley Community Calendar for upcoming Capay Valley events.

  • LDS Family History Center (Woodland) Genealogy Classes

    At a later date classes on various subjects of interest to genealogists will be offered at the Woodland LDS Family History Center. The FHC now has high speed internet access.   • May Festival at the Yolo County Historical Museum – May 2009

    Location: 512 Gibson Road, Woodland, CA - Continuous Entertainment - Museum Tours - Crafts - Bakery - and Plants.

  • The Sacramento Valley Scottish Games & Festival – April 2009

    Location: Yolo County Fairgrounds, Gum Avenue, Woodland, CA Please go to the web site for contact person and further information.

  • Stroll Through History in Woodland – September 2008

    The Stroll Through History is an annual event in Woodland which began in 1996. In addition to the many guided tours available, you will also find free musical entertainment, antique market, crafts, and home improvement fair, pancake breakfast, antique auto display, horse and carriages, period costumes, and train rides. Please see the Stroll Through History web site for further information.

  • University of California – Davis – Cultural Days

  • Winters Earthquake Street Festival – Usually held on the third Friday of August.

    The annual Earthquake Day for the town of Winters started in 1991. The Winters Earthquake Day celebration is a celebration in honor of the Winters earthquake of 1892. The celebration begins at 4:00 p.m. and goes on into the night with street dancing until 11:00 p.m. (See the City of Winters web site for specific information.)

  • Winters – Historic Homes/Downtown Walking Tour.

    Information on the monthly tour can be obtained from the Winters Chamber of Commerce, 204 Railroad Avenue, Winters, CA 95695; (530) 795-2329.   • Winters Youth Day – April 2009

    The Winters Youth Day is an annual event that started in 1933. It is a day-long event that starts with the Rotary Club pancake breakfast at 6:00 a.m. In addition to food crafts, and other activities, there is also a parade which starts at 9:30 a.m. This event is held every year the last Saturday in April.
