TRIBAL CEMETERY OF THE PALA NATION record by Brian C. Smith Labor Day, Monday, 3 September 1984 From the Mission, east on California State #78, right on first unpaved road; approximately 3/10 mile from the Mission. There are a number of unmarked burials as well as burials with markers badly weathered and unreadable. Most of these are well kept, with fresh flowers; they would appear to be known to and maintained by the families. All of the military and many of the unknown burials in both cemeteries were decorated with small American flags and one may assume they are veterans. Rows are recorded west to east beginning at the south end of the cemetery.
