Founding Families Of Long Beach

Tincher, James W. and Elizabeth (Sallee)

They came to California in 1882. Their son, Eugene, graduated from the Long Beach High School and Stanford University. He has practiced law in Long Beach since 1914. He has devoted much of his energies to civic affairs. Eugene married Ann M. Mussetter whose father had the Long Beach press, a print shop on Locust Avenue. There were no street numbers in those days. Tincher Elementary School was named in honor of Eugene.
