PIONEER IS TO BE BURIED TODAY Funeral of Well Known Business Man to Be Conducted By Unitarian Divine
The funeral of James Bidwell, who died in this city Sunday, will take place this afternoon from the chapel of Johnson & Connell, where services will be conducted at 3 o'clock by Rev. Solon Lauer of the Unitarian church. Friends are invited to these services. Interment will be made in Mt. Hope cemetery.Mrs. O.M. Fox and Mrs. James Wade, daughters of deceased, are here from San Bernardino, Cal., to attend the funeral. Mr. Bidwell was one of the pioneer business men of this section of California and was known to all who are engaged in the feed business.
BIDWELL - At San Antonio, Texas. April 11th, 1909, James Bidwell, husband of Emily H. Bidwell and father of George M. and Chester Bidwell of San Diego, and Mrs. O.M. Fox and Mrs. James Wade, of San Bernardino, Cal.; a native of Connecticut, aged 91 years, 3 months, 28 days.Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Johnson & Connell's chapel, D and Seventh streets, at 3 o'clock p.m. today. Rev. Solon Lauer Will officiate. Interment at Mt. Hope cemetery.
