Groveland School 1914 - 1923
The Groveland Schoolhouse is a Spanish Revival frame building built in 1916 with voter approved bonds. The need for the new school resulted from the influx of Hetch Hetchy construction families. The original red tile roof and parapeted cornice have been removed
It replaced an older one-room schoolhouse and houses the Yosemite Bank of Mariposa
A new school was constructed east of town in the late 1960's
