CAGenWeb "Nuts & Bolts"
Volunteers

The CAGenWeb Project is composed of Volunteers who have a desire to find, format and present local genealogical & historical resources for visiting researchers. As such, there are a few requirements to be a County Coordinator.

The Basic Requirements can be found on the USGenWeb Rules Site.
In addition to the above, the CAGenWeb has a simple set of guidelines:

  1. Each County Site shall have a logo that is representative of the State of California with the following lettering on the logo:
    CAGenWeb or The CAGenWeb Project
The Logo and it's link will be on their main entry page.
This logo shall link back to the main State Page: http://cagenweb.com

  2. Each County Site shall have an approved USGW logo prominently displayed and linked to The USGenWeb on their entry page.

  3. Each County Site shall have a brief history of their particular county included on their entry page.

  4. Each County Site shall have an area on one of their pages for queries. This can be links to outside query sites or a self-maintained query section.

  5. Each County Site shall have an introductory paragraph with the name of the County Coordinator and a way to reach them for questions.

  6. Each County page shall have a footer that contains an explanation of copyright, a listing of the CAGW Admin Team and a date stamp.
