Research fees:
$5.00/hr. if done by Society Researcher $2.00/hr if done by client with Society Researcher assistance. Copy fees are 10cents/25cents/75cents based on size of document.
Del Norte County Museum is open in the Winter on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 3 pm. for Research only. From May 1st to Oct. 1st the Museum is open 6 days a week from 10am to 4pm. There is a fee of $2.00 an hour if you do it your self or more if we do it for you. We are all volunteers working there so it helps pay the expense of keeping the Museum open. It is $2.00 to go through the Museum in the summer months unless you belong to the Del Norte Society. With membership you get free entrance to the Del Norte Museum and Light House and 10% off our items: books and Lighthouse sweatshirts, etc. Please send requests to:

The USGenWeb Project will not tolerate any copyright violations. Lookup requests should be limited to one name, or perhaps two if it is a married couple. Information given should be minimal, for example:If it is a cemetery lookup, the information should be the name of the cemetery and the dates on the headstone. Please do not ask for "everybody with X surname" or an entire family group, or for hardcopies to be mailed; the volunteers have been asked not to comply with such requests.
Lookups can extend to searching the Copyrighted Material to determine if the Material would be helpful to the requester in their research. Should the Copyrighted Material prove useful, the Volunteer can provide the authors address and ordering information.
The USGenWeb Project will endeavor to get a WRITTEN statement from each copyright holder which stipulates which books may be used for lookups. See Lookup Permission Statement.
When requesting a lookup please put Del Norte County Lookup in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidently deleted. In the first line of the message please put the name of the book you are requesting the lookup in.
If you request a lookup, don't forget to thank your volunteer for their time.
