SURNAMES:  MICHAEL, TAYLOR, WILSON
Zelma Gladys WILSON m. Russell D. MICHAEL on 2 sep 1938 in Mt Shasta, Siskiyou, California. Zelma was also born in McCloud on 19 Nov 1921. I know that she died on 3 Mar 1963, but I do not know where. My assumption is in Siskiyou County somewhere. Need to verify this information and find burial location.

James Leslie WILSON was born in McCloud on 11 Apr 1924. He died on 16 Oct 1933. Do not know location of death or if he ever married. Would like to acquire this information as well as burial date and location information. He was also known as Leslie Lee WILSON.

Robert William WILSON resided in Siskiyou and Shasta Counties during his lifetime. He was born on 9 Sep 1877 in Cottonwood, Shasta County and married Maud Susan TAYLOR on 6 Jun 1908, also in Shasta County. It is believed that he died in Siskiyou County on 3 Apr 1937 but this is unknown. I need death and burial information verified. Would greatly appreciate this. Also looking for death information on his sister Susan Elizabeth WILSON b. 15 May 1876 in Cottonwood, Shasta County. She died on 20 Dec 1933. During her life, she married WOODEY, LOPEZ and BUSHFIELD but locations and dates are unknown. Would sincerely appreciate somebodies help. Thank you.

I am looking for information on the MUMA family that lived in McCloud, Siskiyou County, CA during the 1940's. I do not know the father's name, but the mother's name was Edith and she was from Scotland. Edith was also a school teacher. There were 7 children in this family. Sidney MUMA, William "Lloyd" MUMA, George MUMA, Edith "Dollie" MUMA, Sybil MUMA, Barney MUMA and the 7th child I only have a nickname of "Spud" MUMA. I am looking for any information you may have concerning James Bradley (Jim), who was a JP either in Yreka or Weed, CA. I really don't have any dates on him, other than he was born to John V. and Cynthia S. Bradley, who lived in Oakland, OR., north of Roseburg. Mr. Bradley would be my gguncle, his brother, Ira Robert, being my ggrandfather.  The Bradleys had 11 children, only 6 of them lived. James' name was listed as being in the   Siskiyou Co. area at the end of the 1890's, in a document written by his neices Grace Bradley Gowdy and Lena Bradley Gowdy, a few years back when asked about the Bradley history.  Thanks for your time and effort.  Toni Collins

Birth Lookup... I was told that my grandmother ELLA ADELL (SMITH) or (BOWKER) was born in McCloud, Ca. Sept. 3, 1903. I had sent first to Shasta co. for her birth record and was told it wasn't there but in Siskiyou Co. I then sent to Siskiyou Co. and was told her record of birth wasn't there either. Her parents were BURL C. SMITH and EMMA BOWKER. In 1905 Emma and Burl were divorced and Emma's parents adopted Ella Adell. If you can help me I would appreciate it very much. I am looking for any information on Lewis URBAN.   He was a single man who came to Mt. Shasta, in Siskiyou County, in 1933.  He is deceased; the family received a letter from a lawyer to claim his estate and gave them a time dead line, they failed to respond.  We believe he passed in 1950 - 55.  We have a large family tree 2,300 people mostly Urbans, this is the only member that we know nothing about.  The Urban's are all from Hancock County, Ohio.

Looking for any information on Erastus B. HALE who died in Yreka, Ca. 6 January, 1884. He came from Missouri to Calfornia. His parents were Joshua and Martha Hale and were killed in their home abt. 1848. Erastus lived with Jermiah Smith until he grew in to man hood. He signed before a not. republic in Siskiyou County in 1883 for a land transaction in Missouri.

William Henry PEPPER and his first wife Ella (RIFENBURG) PEPPER are both buried in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Mt Shasta, formerly Sisson.  I have not been able to find the death date for Ella who died about 1902.  ( It was before a disastrous fire that burned the town.)   Is there any collection of early obituaries, or are there old local newspapers for that period that would be available on interlibrary loan?  After the fire, William took his family to live at the nearby fish hatchery where he was working.  I have his death records, he did not die in California.

My grgrandmother's grandparents Joseph Jordan and wife Nancy Long lived in Siskiyou county at the foot of Shasta Mount on a vineyard sometime prior to 1857 with some people by the surname of Frame. Information I have already gathered leaves me to believe that the location of the vineyard is between Edgewood and Yreka. I am interested in any information/dialogue on these ancestors.

I am just starting out with research on my Mothers side of the family. The sunrname is GRAHAM, JENNIE and ALBERT, man and wife; my moms parents. They lived in Montague in possibly the late 20's up until the mid 40's, and had a family of seven.  Roy, Gene, and Robert (Robert is still living, in Redding), Charlotte, Lucile, (my Mother), Alberta (still living in Yreka, Alberta and Dooley Lutrell), Dooley used to have a milk delivery in Yreka in the 50's, and Genevieve.  ALBERT GRAHAM was a veternarian, auctioneer, and blacksmith. Graduated from the University of Chicago in the late 1800's, early 1900's, died I  believe in 1960. Was a vagabond, would travel a lot, mostly to Idaho, as I recall.  Kept my Grandmother pregnant, and the oldest, Roy, who lived in Yreka for most of his life ran the family when he was old enough, due to his fathers absence. Roy was married to Helen. Do not recall her maiden name.  JENNIE'S maiden name was WILLIAMSON, born in Illinois.  If I can provide any more information, please advise.   Thanks for this great service.

Dolly Skeen had to  half brothers named Dave and Bill SKEEN b 1876. Bill SKEEN married a woman named Belle MILLER. I am trying to find out what ever I can about my dads side of the family.  I know he was born in Yerka CA. On Aug.18 1929 in a hospital, I am guesting here anyway,  his mother"s name is Audery and I don't know what  her maiden name was. I do know she  worked on a farm in Montague around 1920's.  My dad was born out of wedlock and never new his real dad. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this matter. Lewis in Yreka in 1904.  She had been a travelling schoolteacher in Siskiyou County before her marriage.  She had several siblings in California.  Her brother, James Allen, was a judge and an author.   I would like to correspond with anyone researching this Allen family.

Edmund WOODWARD died in Happy Camp, Siskiyou county on February 26, 1963, aged 66.   He had migrated to California in the early 1930s with his wife Lillian, who was from the East Coast,  and daughters Eleanor and Zelda. His obituary states that he had "no survivors, his wife having died in 1956."  A line from an unrelated newspaper article states, "Clear Creek Camp is one of the nine camps operated by San Quentin."  We would like to know if Happy Camp is (or was) one of these as well.   Any information which you can give us would be very welcome.
