You are strongly encourged to check information that is already in the El Dorado County Historical Museum. Also, be aware that the listings of people in the cemeteries are only those with tombstones. Studies have shown at over 25 cemeteries in this county that only one-third (1/3) of the graves are marked. This is an important and vital point because some of the cemeteries are still being used.
Karen Sorensen would be happy to do look-ups for the following: Coloma, Rose Springs (Rescue), Litten MacDonald (Rescue), Skinner Family (Rescue), French Creek (Shingle Springs), Placerville Jewish, Placerville Old City, Greenwood (Georgetown), Smith Flat, Middletown (Placerville), Oakhill (Diamond Springs), Camino, Latrobe, Old Shingle Springs, Uppertown (Placerville), Indian (Clarksville), Jay Hawk (Rescue), Georgetown. The records were compiled by Verl F. Weight and the booklet was published by the Sacramento Branch Genealogical Library 5343 Halsted Avenue, Carmichael, CA; 1967.
