Con O'Donnell was born in El Dorado county on February 16th, 1861. He grew to manhood in this county and was one of its loyal citizens. A sufferer from asthma for years he passed away Monday night at the O'Donnell home in
this city. He had many friends who will regret his death and miss one whom they have known and associated with for years. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church Thursday fornoon at o'clock, Rev. Father Hayes officiating. For years Mr. O'Donnell was on duty nearly every day at the stationery and notion store of the O'Donnell Company of which he was a member. He retired from business last August when his company sold their business to Jos. Scherrer. He left to mourn his loss two sisters, Mary and Tillie O'Donnell, an aunt Mrs. A. Donahue of San Francisco, and several cousins. |
