SAMUEL ELLIOTT KYBURZ, EL DORADO PIONEER, DIES
Notes: He was from Wisconsin, not Kentucky. His death certificate states he died 25 October 1914, not on the on October 26th.

PLACERVILLE (El Dorado Co.), October 26, - Samuel Elliott Kyburz, pioneer El Dorado miner and rancher, died here to-day at the age of 76 years. He had been ill but ten days.

Deceased was a native of Kentucky and came to California with his father, the late Samuel Kyburz, in 1846. For many years he had followed the occupation of a miner and farmer in the Clarksville district, this county.

With Captain Sutter.
His father was Superintendent and adviser of Captain John A. Sutter, builder of Sutter's Fort in Sacramento, and headed the party that selected a site for Sutter's mill at Coloma.

Surviving are a widow and several children.
