I'm researching for the descendents of Richard Clifton born on September 17, 1814 in Camborne, Cornwall, England and Mary Ann Chalders from Cornwall on Dec 22, 1838 in Wisconsin. They moved to Placerville about 1852 and they had 8 children. Both Richard and Mary Ann Clifton are buried in the Middletown Cemetery.
David Clark married Mary Ann Clifton daughter of Richard Clifton, William Clifton married Elmina Ann Ekel, Alice Jane Clifton married Merritt H. Torrance, Mammie Elizabeth Clifton married Stephen Cocking and Thomas Henry Clifton married Anna McCumsey.
