I've always wanted to know something about the people who are behind all of the wonderful genealogical resources that can now be found on the internet.  I'm glad to see you're curious too!

In about 1983 my parents moved my sister and I from Southern California (Hawthorne) to Bishop, Inyo County, CA.  My Dad had been fishing and camping there for years and he and Mom decided it was time to get us out of the city.  I was eight and wasn't so happy about it at the time - now I am so grateful!  I love Inyo County and though my husband and I currently live in Bakersfield (Kern County), we plan to move back "home" some day.

Currently I am a wife, a working mom of two children, and a sometime student at California State University, Bakersfield.  I am majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Ethics.

In November of 2001, I was bit by the genealogy bug.  It was mostly a response to all of the chaos and heartache caused by the September 11th tragedies.  Like many others, I sat glued to the TV that morning.  Since then I have endeavored to document my family and the family of my husband in order to pass that knowledge on to my now eight year old daughter and infant son.  For me, there is great comfort in feeling a part of something bigger than myself and knowing that my spirit, which came from my ancestors, lives on in my descendants.

I have always had a love of writing.  I'd like to echo my writing skills in my genealogy career some day.  I also love the internet and the new opportunities for research that it brings.  I have maintained a personal website almost from the beginning.  My computer and I have become best friends.  Now I can share what I've learned and hope to make contact with others who have a passion for this hobby as the coordinator for Inyo County GenWeb and Mono County GenWeb.
