Currently I am a wife, a stay home mom and a student at California State University, Bakersfield. I am majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Ethics.
In November of 2001, I was bit by the genealogy bug. It was mostly a response to all of the chaos and heartache caused by the September 11th tragedies. Like many others, I sat glued to the TV that morning. Since then I have endeavored to document my family and the family of my husband in order to pass that knowledge on to my now four year old daughter. For me, there is great comfort in feeling a part of something bigger than myself and knowing that my spirit, which came from my ancestors, lives on in my descendants.
I have
always had a love of writing; poetry mostly. I?d like to echo my
writing skills in my genealogy career and I am now working towards making
that happen. I also love the internet and the new opportunities for
research that it brings. I have maintained a personal website almost
from the beginning. My computer and I have become best
friends. Now I can share what I've learned and hope to make contact
with others who have a passion for this hobby as the coordinator
for Inyo County GenWeb
and Mono County
