HORRORS OF THE DESERT: AS REPORTED BY SHORTY HARRIS. Shorty Harris has returned from Death Valley. Reporting finding four men dead on the desert. Skeleton of one man was found about twelve miles north of Lone Willow. In the hills about eight miles away a horse was found running alone, and it is supposed that the animal belonged to the dead man. And at Furnace Creek Ranch, Mr. Harris learned of finding three partially decomposed bodies between Lee Camp in Echo Canyon and the Lila C. Borax Mines.
