Abraham Diaz Abraham Diaz, member of a family whose home has been in Lone Pine since the early '70's, died in Lone Pine July 23rd, from a heart attack. He was born in Santa Clara County, where his parents had come from Chili. His father and uncle became prominent in Lone Pine affairs after their arrival there, as their successors have been since. He was in the meat business in Keeler for a while and ranching near Big Pine. The family moved to Canoga Park, near Los Angeles, in 1921. He and Mrs. Diaz were on their place near Big Pine when he became so ill that he was taken to the home of his brother in Lone Pine. A son, Abraham junior, was one of Inyo's soldiers killed in action in the world war. Mr. Diaz is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ed Elder, and four brothers, Max, Rafael, Arthur and Eleutero, and his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Hagberg of Burbank, Misses Rose, Auguste and Marguerite Diaz.
