Alfred Obering

Alfred G. "Red" Obering, 64, of Bishop, passed away June 24.  He is survived 
by his wife Luella L. Obering; son, Richard L. Obering of Corona del Mar; 
daughters, Pat Smith and Shirley Lawson, both of Tustin; seven grandchildren; 
brothers, Walter of Santa Ana, Edwin, Norwald, and Herman Oberling, Lincoln, 
Nebraska, and a sister, Sophie Lueking of Oxford, Nebraska.  Red came to 
Bishop in the late 1960's and operated Sierra Auto Parts from 1971-76.  Since 
1943 he had never missed an opening day of trout season at Lake Crowley.

Services were held June 28, at Waverly Church with Rev. George J. Busdlecker 
officiating.  Interment followed in Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana.
