Anita Imogene Barr 1934 - 2003 Funeral services for lifetime Bishop resident Anita Imogene Barr, 68, will be held on Saturday, June 14, at the Brune and Buck Mortuary Chapel at 10 a.m. Darlene Haymes will officiate. Born in Bishop on June 24, 1934, Mrs. Barr died on June 8, 2003, after an auto accident, at Northern Inyo Hospital. Anita was an ordained Pentecostal Minister. She loved the Lord, and loved praying and helping people. She and husband Ronald preached the gospel of the Lord across the country. She was loved and respected by those whose hearts she touched. Anita was preceded in death by father and mother, Sampson and Edith Dewey; three brothers, Sidney, Douglas and Clifford Dewey; and stepsister, Audrey Watterson. She is survived by husband, Ronald Barr of Bishop; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald I. And Susan L. Barr of Bishop, Nolan and Sandra Hull Barr of Bishop, and Driscoll and Julie Barr of Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Balery Barr and Russel Covington of Bishop; brother, Wesley Dewey of Bishop; grandchildren, Andri, Susan, Hank, Ronald E., Eric, Jessica, Sampson and Ryan; 13 great-grandchildren and many friends and relatives. Interment will be at the Sunland Cemetery west of Bishop.
