Ben E. McWithey

1940-2003

Services will be held for seven-year Truckee, Nev. resident 
and former Bishop resident Ben E. McWithey, 62, on Friday, 
Feb. 14, at the Church of the Nazarene at 11 a.m. Pastor 
Paul Straub will officiate.

Additionally, friends may call at the Brune and Buck 
Mortuary on Friday, Feb. 14, from 9-10 a.m.

Born in Los Animas, Colo. on Oct. 26, 1940, Mr. McWithey 
died on Feb. 10, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev.

Ben lived in Bishop for more than 30 years, working at 
Union Carbide. He moved to Truckee in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jim McWithey in 2001.

Survivors include wife, Dawn of Truckee, Nev.; son, Steve 
McWithey of Bishop; daughter, Lou Erfurth of Reno; brother, 
Glen McWithey, of Bishop; sisters, Judy Whitman of Bishop 
and Kay Schaaffma of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren and 
three great-grandchildren.
