Bert Ness

A rosary was said at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Lone Pine Jan. 10 for Bert Ness 
of Darwin, who died Jan. 7 in Las Vegas, Nev.  Mass of Christian Burial was held 
Jan. 11.  Celebrant was Father Henry Grupa.  Interment was at Mt. Whitney Cemetery.

Mr. Ness was born Aug. 6, 1915 in Darwin and was a lifelong resident of Inyo 
County.  He had lived the past 28 years in Shoshone, and was superintendent of the 
Inyo County Road Department for 24 years.

Mr. Ness is survived by his wife, Emilia Ness of Shoshone and his brother, Silas 
Ness of Lone Pine.
