Betty Lovci Thompson
1912 - 2003

A memorial service will be held at a later date for Betty Lovci Thompson, age 91, a longtime 
resident of Independence.

Mrs. Thompson was born on Jan. 14, 1912 in Los Angeles to Adolph and Pearl Moore Lovci.  She 
was married to Walter John Thompson and worked beside him mining and road building in the 
area.  She loved fishing and the outdoors.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband in 1988.

She is survived by daughter, Toni Bottorff of Independence; brother, Kenneth H. Lovci and his 
wife, Irene, of San Diego; grandchildren, John Bottorff of Escondido and Scott Bottorff and 
his wife, Janis, of Ridgecrest; three great-grandchildren, Megan, John and Cleighton; and 
many nieces and nephews.
