Bion Dugar Roberts, Jr.
1923 - 2003

Graveside funeral services will be held for Big Pine resident Bion Dugar Roberts, Jr., 79, on 
Saturday, June 17 at the Big Pine Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Born July 14, 1923 in Los Angeles, Mr. Roberts died at Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City.

He was the oldest child of Bion Dugar Roberts, Sr. and Marie Lacher.  Bion, a Navy veteran of 
World War II and Korea, worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power in the Owens 
Valley, but mostly in movie and television production for MCA/Universal.

Bion worked with many interesting people, and enjoyed teaching and problem solving.  He loved 
living in the Owens Valley, fishing, working and gardening in his yard and exploring the area.

Bion married Lenora Lee Mandy, and is survived by one daughter, Leslie.

Donations may be made to the Hospice or Carson Tahoe Hospital.
