Charles D. Oakes

Funeral services were held Monday for Charles D. Oakes, 
of Bishop, following his death August 15 at Northern 
Inyo Hospital.  He was 77.

Msgr. Gilbert Meyer of Our Lady of Perpetual Help 
Catholic Church officiated at the service, graveside 
in East Line St. cemetery.

Mr. Oakes was born July 9, 1896 in Gloucester, Mass.

He is survived by his nephew; Guy A. Noble, Orlando 
Beach, Fla.
