Chloe Benton

Funeral services are pending later this week 
for Chloe Dell Benton of Big Pine, following 
her death early Tuesday morning at the Inyo 
County Sanatorium in Big Pine.  She was 82.

She was born April 23, 1887, in Tehachapi, 
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Telly Bland who 
were pioneers of the Kern County area.

She is survived by her husband Frank Benton, 
Big Pine; three sons, Marvel, H. Imus of 
Bisbee, AZ, Telly O. Imus of Burns Lake, B.C., 
Canada, and Frank Imus of Fontana; three 
daughters, Mrs. Ina Curtis of Iindependence, 
Mrs. June Rossi of Big Pine, and Mrs. Sarah 
Rossi of Big Pine.
