Final Rites Held for Early Bishop, Nevada Resident Memorial services for Chris John Bradshaw, son of an early day Nevada California family were conducted Dec. 31 at the Little County Chapel, Valhalla Memorial Park, North Hollywood, Calif., with Mr. Russell Horton, First Reader, Church of Christ Scientist officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills. Pallbearers were neighbors from Burbank where he had lived for the past 17 years. Mr. Bradshaw passed away Dec. 28, 1964 at St. Joseph's Hospital following an operation. He was born Aug. 18, 1887 in Paradise Valley, Nevada, the fourth of eight children born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel A. Bradshaw. In 1893, when he was six years old, the family moved to Bishop where they remained and raised the family. He attended the Bishop schools, loved all kinds of sports and was active in community affairs until moving to Los Angeles. On Sept. 24, 1913, he married Miss Nora Coffelt, who survived him and spent the remaining years in the Los Angeles area. In 1963, friends and neighbors helped them celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary. Mr. Bradshaw was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge. In 1956 he retired from 20th Century Fox Motion Picture Co. where he was working as a technical expert in color photography. Surviving him are his wife Nora of Burbank, two sisters Mrs. Mabel Drake of Bishop and Thelma Bedell of Santa Paula. Other relatives living in the Bishop area besides Mr. Drake are a niece Mrs. Vivienne Ferber and her son Richard, a cousin Mr. Elmer Summers, and a niece Mrs. Beatrice Alexander and her son Dale. Three nephews also survive him. They are Leonard and Albert Wines of Smith, Nevada, and Carroll Wines of the United States State Department, now stationed at Laws.
