Claude C. Curtis, M. D. Funeral services were held Sunday, Mar. 5 for Claude C. Curtis, M.D., of Bishop, following his death March 2, 1976 at his residence. He was 63. The Elder R. L. Mathews of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiated at the Service, held at Brune -Talmage Chapel. Burial was in East Line Street cemetery. Dr. Curtis was born Dec. 20, 1914 in Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife Annette of Bishop; his mother: Thallie Curtis of Glendale; three daughters, Carolyn Magen of Riverside; Theresa Miller of Bishop; Karen Gullino of Thousand Oaks; two brothers, Raymond Curtis of Lakeview Terrace, CA; Don Curtis of Silver City, NM; five sisters, Rose Jerer of Vallejo, CA; Ruth Wakeham of Glendale; Joan Cockran of Orange; Goldie Lewis of San Clemente; Barbara Utecht of Ukiah, and one granddaughter. Pallbearers were Ray Guerin, Evan Knecht, M. D., Richard Wagner, Gordon Brown, M.D., John Zappia, and Bill Curtis. Dr. Curtis was a veteran of World War II, Medical Corps, and started his practice in Bishop in 1948.
