Clayton M. Richards Funeral services were held June 16 in Lone Pine for Clayton Miles "Rich" Richards, 80, former Lone Pine restaurant operator who died June 14 in Southern Inyo hospital. He had been ill for several months. His only survivor is a brother, Roland, of Bellingham, Wash., his wife having died in 1966. Mr. Richards formerly operated the Sierra Trails restaurant and later, Rich's Liquors. He also had cattle interests in Inyo County but had been retired from active work for several years. The Rev. Kenneth Akins officiated at the funeral in the Church of the Nazarene. Interment followed in Mt. Whitney cemetery. Honorary pallbears were Foster Smith, Elmer Redfern, Clyde Thomas, Don Burkhardt, Manuel Muniz, Fred Moore and Clyde Powell. Casket bearers were Raymond Powell, Robert Mojarro, Bruce Morgan, William Bonham, Ed Fowler and Don Joseph. Owens Valley Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
