Clifford Devore

Friends learned this week of the death on February 12, 
of Clifford Devore of Salt Lake, following a lengthy 
illness in University Hospital.  He was born in Sonora 
in 1904 and came to Lone Pine as a young boy with his 
parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Devore.  The 
family lived in Lone Pine for many years.

Following services in Salt Lake City on February 16, 
the body was cremated and inurnment was to be this 
week in the family plot in Mt. Whitney cemetery.  
Surviving are two brothers, Larry of Gridley and John 
of Reno; a sister, Helen Hale of Lone Pine; a nephew, 
Jack Devore of New York City, and a niece, Kathy 
Wilson of Whittier.
