Daniel T. Wallace Daniel Tuttle Wallace died at his home four miles northwest of Bishop yesterday, at the advanced age of 77 years, 6 months, 10 days. His recent illness had been of but a few days duration, though death was caused by a complaint from which he had suffered at intervals for a long period. He was born at Lyndon, Michigan, September 11, 1839. In 1861 he was married to Miss Emma Love, at Howell, Michigan. Five years later they made the overland journey to Nevada by team. From then until 1903, when the family came to Bishop, their home was on a Reese River Valley farm. Mr. Wallace was a man of pleasant and unobtrusive personality, with a faculty of making friends in whatever environment he might be placed, and a respected citizen of the community. He is survived by his widow and four children - Mrs. Della McIntire, of Austin, Nevada; A.E. Wallace of Webster, New York; George L. Wallace and Mrs. J. B. Newlon, of Bishop. Of his parents' large family of eleven children, a brother in Petaluma, Cal., and two sisters in Michigan are now the surviving members.
