Darrell L. Knowlton Graveside services will be held for former Bishop resident Darrell L. Knowlton, 79, on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the East Line Street Cemetery at 12 p.m. Additionally, a memorial service will be held for Mr. Knowlton at the First Presbyterian Church in Carson City on Friday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. Born July 1, 1923, Mr. Knowlton died on Sunday, Nov. 24 at his home in Carson City. Darrell was born in Panora, Iowa, to Lamar Knowlton and Nelle Fleak Knowlton. He was a salesman and driver for Coca Cola and Cal Gas Propane for many years. Darrell was also a member of the Carson Lodge No. 1 F&AM and a Mason for 57 years, a member of the Bishop Lions Club, Silver Sage Sams RV Group, and the First Presbyterian Church of Carson City. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Max. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ava Huss Knowlton; son, Dennis L. Knowlton of Carson City; and daughter, Judi Kruse and husband David of Badger, Calif.
