David Charles Semmens 1938-2003 Private memorial services were held Dec. 28, 2002 in San Fernando to honor the remarkable life of David Charles Semmens, 64. Born March 14, 1938 in Butte, MT, Chuck died in Tujunga on Dec. 19, 2002. Chuck, a Tujunga resident for 28 years, was formerly of Bishop. He graduated from Bishop Union High School and attended the University of Nevada. He has also resided in the Los Angeles and Santa Clara areas. Chuck was a representative of various companies and president of Titon Tires, Inc. in San Jose. In August of 1969, he was diagnosed with brain cancer, and was disabled for 33 years. May he rest in peace. Chuck, friends and family say, was a unique person with tremendous courage and a will to live. "He always had a terrific sense of humor and we cherished that," they said. "He was a one-of -a-kind and will live in our hearts and thoughts forever. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret O'Connell Summers, and his father, Gilbert R. Summers of Bishop. Chuck is survived by wife, Dolores; stepmother, Nancy; son, Ron; daughters, Katherine Clark and Susie Withrow; son-in-law, James Clark; grandchildren, Robert, Rachelle, Ryan, Andrea and Colleen; and also his cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends and children.
