Dewey O. Kiner

Funeral services were held Aug. 2, for Dewey O. Kiner, of Bishop, following his death July 30, 1978 at the Northern Inyo 
Hospital.  He was 79.

Dr. Merle P. Smith of the First United Methodist Church officiated at the service, held at graveside.  Burial was in 
East Line Street cemetery.

Mr. Kiner was born Oct. 22, 1898 in Bazine, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife Hannah L.; three sons, Dean Kiner of Desert Center, Ca., Dale Kiner of New Castle, WY; and 
Dewey O. Kiner, Jr. of Colton, Ca.; one daughter, Betty Sanders of Yucapia(orig. sp.), Ca.; one brother, Fred Kiner of 
Garden City, KS; two sisters, Daisy Kiner of Sacramento, Elsie Quimby of Borger, TX.

He also leaves 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

He lived in the Bishop area since 1931.
