Dorothy Ione Dushane/Allen Graveside services will be held this Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn-Covina Hills in Covina for Bishop resident Dorothy Ione Dushane/Allen, age 81. Dorothy was a resident of Bishop for Five years, having lived previously in Sulphur, Okla. For 25 years. Born in Okla. For 25 years. Born in Oklahoma City on August 14, 1922, she died Feb. 9, 2004 in Bishop. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Dushane, who was killed in World War II, her second husband, J. C. Allen, and her third husband, Robert Hill. Dorothy is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Michele Allen of Bishop; son, Carter Allen; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ed Curry of Walnut; daughter Rita Dushane Jones and her husband, Mike, of Upland; grandchildren, Robert Allen and his wife, Becky, John Allen, Shauna Allen/Trim and Melanie Allen, all of Bishop; seven more grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, family asks that charitable donations be made to Freedom in Motion, a therapeutic horseback riding program for the disabled located in Bishop, or the charity of one's choice. Dorothy's family would like to thank the "good people that work at the Greenfield Care Center, formerly Bishop Care Center, for their caring and excellent service they provided to Dorothy."
