Keough. Here the couple were to a great measure instrumental in the building and operation of the facilities at the plunge. Later years found them occupying a ranch nearby until selling their interests to the City of Los Angeles. From the ranch residence they later entered upon the erection of McGee Creek Lodge and operated this resort business for several years in partnership with Mr. and Mrs. George Vonderheide. It was during this period that Karl was elected as state senator and served during the 1935 and 1936 term. Karl passed away on Sept 27, 1937 and his widow continued the operation for a time before selling and engaging herself with the establishment of Keough's Speciality Shop on E.
