Mrs. A. W. Christenson Dies; Inyo County Resident since 1926 Mrs. Drucillas Mae Christenson, wife of Arthur W. Christenson and a resident of Inyo County since 1926, died Sunday, February 9, at her residence 120 North Mt. Whitney drive. She would have been 70 on February 24. The funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Church of the Nazarene in Lone Pine by the Rev. Mel Rich. Interment was in Mt. Whitney cemetery. Survivors besides her husband are a son, Dr. Donald L. Christenson of Lone Pine; three daughters, Ann Cassidy and Winona Skinner of Lone Pine, and Jessie Mae Lien of Glendale; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Nelle Norris of Irvine, Ky., and Leona Clark of Clay City, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Christenson left Irvine, Ky., her birthplace in 1926 and came to Cartago where he was employed at the old soda plant. He subsequently went to work for the National Soda Products Plant and the family moved to Lone Pine. Here Mrs. Christenson became active in church and social affairs. She was a member of most of the women's organizations of the Church of the Nazarene and was a leading member of the Southern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary.
