Mrs. Elmer McLaren Dead

When there is taken one for whom life's duties and responsibilities are but beginning to 
unfold there is a special sadness and sympathy for those who most mourn her loss.  So it 
was in the death of Mrs. Elmer E. McLaren, which occurred shorly (shortly) before 
midnight Sunday, terminating an illness of two weeks or more.  Her age was but little 
more than 18 years.

She was the daughter of Mrs. Louis Pauly, of West Bishop, by her marriage to Al Barter, 
of Round Valley in July, 1894, and her too brief life was wholly spent in this county.  
In August of this year she was married to Elmer E. McLaren, and the young couple were 
but fairly established in their comfortable home on May Street when pneumonia claimed 
the bride.

The stricken husband and parental family have the sympathy of all in their deep 
affliction.
