Services Slated Thursday For Edwin Matlick Funeral Services will be held at the Blake Funeral Chapel Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Edwin Stanley Matlick, who died following a heart attack while on a fishing trip Monday afternoon in the Buttermilk area. Mr. Matlick was born in Bishop October 23, 1884, and had been a rancher all is life. His parents obtained the section of land which the Matlicks still have in 1887. Mr. Matlick is survived by his wife, Ella; a son Stanley; a grandson, Robert; a brother, Harry; and a sister, Mabel Rowen of Fontana. His body will be cremated and interment will be at the Pioneer cemetery. The Rev. Laing Sibbet will conduct services. Honorary pallbearers include Bob Clunie, Ernest Bulpitt, Ernest Rudolph, Bill Barnett, Ed Knapp, Leland Varney, Lou Gondolfo, George Bennett, Ken Johnson, Ben Barlow, Gus Cashbaugh, Jim Cashbaugh, John Lutz, Leo Smith, Alfred Shelley, John Coats, Lloyd Covington, Clifford Jones, Richie Conway, Will Calloway, and Lawrence Taylor.
