Eleanor E. Lyon

Funeral services were held Friday, May 9 for Eleanor E. Lyon, 84, of Bishop 
following her death May 7 at Northern Inyo County Sanatorium.

The Elder Phil Pister of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 
officiated at the service, held at Brune-Talmage Chapel.  Burial was in East 
Line St. Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Herbert London, Tommy Powell, Rollin 
Enfield, Ivan White, Tex Trail and Mac McCartney.

Mrs. Lyon was born June 24, 1895 in Ripon, Wis.

She is survived by her husband Aubrey R. Lyon of Bishop and several nieces and 
nephews.

Eleanor and Aubrey Lyon owned and operated the Rock Creek Lakes Store from 1938 
to 1950.  They had lived in Pasadena from 1922 to 1932.  She was an ardent 
golfer and loved all outdoor sports.
