Mrs. J. L. (Grover) Bodle Another Respected Resident Has Laid Down Life's Burdens and Cares Mrs. Elizabeth Grover Bodle died in Los Angeles at 4:50 Monday afternoon, after eight weeks of illness and suffering. She and her husband, John L. Bodle went to that city nearly two months ago, because of her illness; and during the intervening time the other members of the family have gathered there and were present during her last weeks. She was born in Utah January 22, 1856, and came to this county when a girl. She was married at Big Pine to John L. Bodle, and they have ever since made their home in the country. Two daughters, Mrs. A. L. Kinsley, of Bishop, and Mrs. Nancy Young, of Arizona, and three sons, Lawrence J., Alvin, and Louis H., survive, with her husband, all residing in this vicinity. Another son, Elmer, died several years ago. Mrs. Bodle was a member of the W. C. T. U. and an enthusiastic temperance worker, also a member of the Woman's relief Corps. The funeral occurred in Inglewood cemetery, Los Angeles, at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Some beautiful floral pieces, on behalf of her fraternal associates here, were among those visible at her funeral. Mrs. Bodle will be sincerely missed from the fraternal bodies with which she has been associated, and no less so by a wide circle of friends who held her in high esteem, through the knowledge gained in years of acquaintanceship. The community's sympathy goes to those who are bereft by her loss.
