Elmer G. Christian

Funeral services were held February 20, for Elmer G. Christian, 
of Bishop, following his death February 17 at San Bernardino 
Community Hospital.  He was 63.

The Rev. Jimmy R. Weathers of the Missionary Baptist Church and 
Winnedumah Lodge of 278, F. & A. M. officiated at the service, 
held at the Brune-Talmage Chapel.  Burial was in East Line 
Street Cemetery.

Mr. Christian was born March 9, 1914 in Snyder, TX.

He is survived by his wife Alida of Bishop; one son, Bill 
Christian of Las Vegas; two daughters, Betty Henninger of 
Rialto, CA, and Mary Anne Pickens of Henderson, TX; four 
sisters, Hazel Berry of Yuma, AZ, Beverly Freeman of Yuma, AZ, 
Priscilla Beasley of Riverside, and Brookie Abendroth of 
Lansing, MI; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joe Gilbert, Dennis Remick, Dan Dotts, Ron 
Allen, Gleason Coen, Howard Evans.

Mr. Christian was a member of the Winnedumah Lodge, F & A. M., 
Scottish Rite Club, San Bernardino Scottish Rite, Ancient 
Egyptian Order of Scotts.
