Emma Linscott Mrs. Emma Linscott, one of the valley's pioneer woman passed away in a hospital in Smith Valley, NV, Monday. She had been bedridden for a year or more. Mrs. Linscott was born in Des Moines, Iowa, August 25, 1860. Mrs. Linscott, with her husband, J. A. Linscott, came to this locality in the early days of its settlement, and made their home on a ranch location east of town. There their children grew to maturity, and there her husband passed on. After selling the property some years ago Mrs. Linscott went to Los Angeles, and later to Smith Valley. She is survived by three sons, Oliver A., of Bishop, George Lester, of Smith's, R. Marshall, of Oakland; and one daughter Mrs. Zelma Schnitzler, of Wilmington. The funeral occurred from Albright Memorial Chapel yesterday.
