Man Drowns In Accident Near Lee Vining

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Blake Funeral Chapel for Eugene Keller, 
32 of Bishop who drowned Tuesday of this week at Calectric's Poole plant near Lee Vining.

The accident occurred when the caterpillar he was driving ran over an abandoned well and fell into 
the water when the covering timbers caved in.  He was pinned in the seat of the caterpillar.

Mr. Keller was born February 2, 1928 at Benton and is survived by his wife, Leota, a son, Eugene 
Keller, Jr., a daughter, Susan Diane Keller, and his mother, Mrs. Mabel Keller.  He is also 
survived by six brothers, Leroy and Mike, both of Bishop; Harry, of La Puente; Ralph of San 
Francisco, Jack of Los Angeles and Alvin of Orbin, Calif.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. James Moor of Bishop and interment will be at the Pioneer 
Cemetery.
