The Lamplighter of a late date, speaks of the death of Rev. Geo. W. De La Matyr as having occurred at 
Bishop, Cal., recently.  Mr. De La Matyr will be remembered by the older people of Evansville as 
having been at an early day, an agent of the Evansville Seminary, and also preacher in charge of the 
M. E. church here.  He aided considerably in the building of that church both by his own mechanical 
skill and his faithful christian work.
