Gustav Schulz

Funeral services were held at Memorial Chapel in San Clemente Dec. 29 
for longtime Bishop resident Gustav K. Schulz, 80, who died December 
25 after a prolonged bout with cancer.  At his wish, his ashes were 
scattered over Dana Point.

Mr. Schulz was born Sept. 9, 1904 in Springfield, OH.  He 
subsequently moved to Bishop, where for 42 years he lived and operated 
the G. & E. variety store (now Ben Franklin's).  He and his wife, 
Marie, moved to San Clemente in 1972.

Mr. Schulz is survived by his wife, Marie of San Clemente, and 
grandchildren Mark Holland and Lynne Ralston both of Bishop.
