Funeral Services Held for Howard Willson in Big Pine Funeral services for Howard Albert Willson were held at Big Pine Community Methodist church on Friday, June 21. Mr. Willson died on June 19 at the Southern Inyo Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Willson was born on a ranch near Selma, Calif., on Jan 1, 1894. He spent his early childhood in the San Joaquin Valley and Gilroy. He came to Big Pine when he was about 12 years old and had lived most of his life in the Owens Valley. Survivors include his wife, Dottie Willson, three daughters, Mrs. A. L. Himelhoch of Arcadia, Mrs. Walter Thomas of Big Pine, Mrs. John McCarthy of Bishop, seven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, a sister Mrs. Evelyn Cuicello of Oakland and a brother Albert Willson of Hawthorne, Calif. Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the services included: Mrs. Laura Bulmer, Miss Blythe Bulmer, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shelly, Mr. and Mrs. Robert LeGuy all of Reno; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cuicello of Oakland; Mr. Albert Willson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Willson, Hawthorne, Calif., Frank Crysler, Mrs. Alice Tate, Mrs. Clarice Uhlmeyer of Lone Pine; Bob Thomas, U.S. Navy, Moffet Field; Mrs. Enid Yandell, Bakersfied; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fields, Carson City; Mr. and Mrs. Pat Coons, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bromley, John, Ben, Roland and Dan McMurry all of Bishop. Pallbearers were John McMurray and Walter Swift of Bishop. Dale Whistler, Bill Steward, Hewitt Stewart and Wesley Newman of Big Pine.
