Hugo O. Wangelin Hugo O. Wangelin died Friday night, at his home in the Elmhurst tract, aged 35 years, 5 months, 21 days. He came here a little over nine years ago to fill the position of local manager for the Bishop Light & Power Company. The place was not easy to fill, for one change after another had been made in it. Mr. Wangelin performed his duties with such tact as to greatly improve the relations between the company and the people, and won the esteem of the public until probably no man in the valley had more friends than he. In doing this he served his employers so capably that his duties were gradually extended, as his merits became apparent, until he was virtually the service superintendent for the company throughout the county. He was enterprising and progressive, and active in matters of public welfare. Many feel the loss of a friend of high character, and the community has lost a citizen who will be missed in public undertakings as well as for his personal worth and solid rent. His wife, herself ill with the prevailing disease, survives him, with their three children, Gaynor, Marjorie and Hugo, aged 9, 6, and 4 years.
