James Alton Tiner A private cremation was held for 15-year Ridgecrest resident and former Bishop resident James Alton Tiner, 61. Born No. 1, 1941 in San Francisco, Mr. Tiner died on Jan. 28, 2003 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. James was employed as a Service Writer for the Charlon Ford Motor Company. He was an auto technician and an avid golfer. He loved to fish. He is survived by wife, Janet L. Tiner of Ridgecrest; son and daughter-in-law, Jim Tiner Jr. and Kimberly of Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Joy Rayburn and Mike of Spring, TX; and grandchildren, Cody Whiting of Spring; and Alisha and Kellie Tiner of Bishop. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jim Tiner Memorial Fund at AltaOne Federal Credit Union.
