Jerrold O. Swarner

Funeral services were held Jan. 18 for Jerrold O. Swarner, 59, of Bishop following his death Jan. 15 
at Northern Inyo Hospital.

The Rev. Ron T. Roberts of the First United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Post 8988 officiated at the 
service, held at Brune-Buck & Talmage Chapel.  Burial was in San Pasqual cemetery, San Pasqual, 
where graveside services were conducted Jan 20 by the Escondido B.P.O.E. 1687.

Mr. Swarner was born July 26, 1922 in Gilroy, CA.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou of Bishop; three sons, Jerry of San Diego; Jim of Lompoc; and Bob 
of Ramona; a daughter, Carol Ann Swarner of San Marcos; three grandchildren.

Mr. Swarner was instrumental in the origination of the Inyo-Mono Association for the Handicapped 
which sponsors the Creative Workshop.  He was their first president in 1972.
