Jess Riley

This veteran miner, will and favorably known in Nevada as well as 
this county, died in Tuscon, Arizona, Tuesday, from ill of long 
standing.  He left here some weeks ago in the hope of improvement 
in a different climate, Mrs. Riley accompanying him.

His wife, his daughter, Mrs. George L. Vonderheide, and a son, 
Joseph Riley, survive him.  Mrs. Vonderheide left here last Monday 
in response to a telegram that Joe was ill in Berkeley and needed 
her.

Mr. Riley’s funeral will take place in Los Angeles. Mr. Vonderheide 
left for that city this afternoon.
