Jim McDonald 1913 - 2003 Graveside funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. at the West Line Street Cemetery in Bishop of longtime local resident Jim McDonald age 90. Rev. Caddy Jackson will officiate. Born March 26, 1913 in Omaha, Neb., Jim died Nov. 20, 2003 in Bishop, where he had lived for the past 52 years. Jim worked for Union Carbide as an electrician for 15 years, and served as the electrical inspector for the County of Inyo for more than nine years. He had a great love for the Owens Valley, and loved his wife, Olla, and family and friends. Jim is survived by wife of 68 years, Olla McDonald of Bishop; daughter, Margaret MacLaren of Bishop; sister-in-law, Ethel Edwards of Bakersfield; nephew Gene Edwards and his wife, Isabel, of Frazier Park; niece, Georgia Edwards of Pollock Pine; and grandson, Ryan Strong and his family Tori and Ryanna. Donations in Jim's memory can be made to Hospice of the Owens Valley or a charity of one's choice.
